Helm Order Monitor is the first of its kind technological solution to the problem of insufficient monitoring of helm orders between helmsman and pilot or navigator onboard ships. We are exploring whether automatic speech technologies, considered together with routinely available bridge information, can help crews keep communication clear. The concept remains in R&D.
